Free Health Camp by NIHS in Partnership with Nepal Life Insurance: Real Public Response to Quality Care

Kathmandu — A two-day free health camp organized through a technical partnership between Nepal International Health Service (NIHS) and Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited concluded on Monday at the central office of Nepal Life in Kamaladi. The camp received overwhelming public participation.

According to NIHS director Mr. Rupanarayan Shah, the main objective of the camp was to raise public awareness about health and wellness. The services provided at no cost included:

• General health checkups
• Blood pressure screening
• Diabetes (sugar) tests
• Cholesterol, triglyceride, and uric acid tests
• Specialist doctor consultations

Mr. Shah shared that over 400 beneficiaries had already received services by Monday afternoon, with a goal of serving 800 participants by the end of the day.

“Nepal Life conducts such free health camps every year during its anniversary celebration, and NIHS has been providing complete health packages in collaboration,” he stated.

Feedback from attendees has been highly positive, with many praising the international standards of service, qualified doctors, and accurate medical reports.

“There’s often a misconception that free services are low in quality,” Mr. Shah said. “But we’ve proven that with the right medical team and institutional partnership, free services can be just as good—if not better.”

  “I was worried I might have an undiagnosed condition. This camp helped me get tested and feel at ease. I hope such camps are held every year.”

Mr. Shah concluded by emphasizing that public trust in free medical services can be restored when reliable institutions deliver high-quality healthcare. He also encouraged other companies to initiate similar awareness-driven health activities to benefit the public.
