World Heart Day Health Camp at NMB Bank

In celebration of World Heart Day, Nepal International Health Services (NIHS) organized a Heart Health Camp at NMB Bank to raise awareness about cardiovascular health and provide essential health services to the community. Participants were able to take part in free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and body mass index (BMI), helping them gain valuable insights into their heart health. In addition, NIHS cardiologists were on hand to offer personalized consultations, discussing heart disease risk factors, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term cardiovascular health. The event also included educational workshops that focused on the importance of healthy eating, regular physical activity, and effective stress management in preventing heart disease. Participants learned about heart-healthy nutrition and simple exercises that can be easily incorporated into daily routines. Experts shared practical tips on how to reduce the intake of harmful fats, salt, and sugar while emphasizing the benefits of consuming nutrient-rich, fiber-filled foods. World Heart Day, celebrated globally on September 29th, serves as an important reminder of the impact cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) have on global health. As the leading cause of death worldwide, heart disease can often be prevented or managed through regular check-ups and healthy lifestyle choices. Through this health camp, NIHS aimed to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to prioritize their heart health and make informed decisions for a healthier future.
